Jaime Tam (Jada Fire) is a talented artist, ethnic~fusion dancer and a spiritual yoga instructor who is available to showcase her talents at many occasions. She performs in various venues specializing in middle~eastern, belly dance, tribal~trance dance, Polynesian fire dance and a live canvas and body painting act. When Jaime is not performing at special events she is teaching her Expressive Yoga~Dance classes here in Las Vegas & worldwide! Jaime has developed the Expressive Yoga™ and Expressive Yoga Dance™ form in 2001. Right here in Las Vegas, she shares, inspires and implements her Yoga~Dance classes and teacher trainings with many spirit seekers, students and teachers from all over the world!

Born and raised by a supportive Sicilian/Italian family in Long Island, New York, Jaime began her exciting, artistic journey as a gymnast at age five. Ambitious, creative and driven Jaime faced and had overcome several physical injuries during the course of her athletic upbringing. Known for her lioness heart and creative fire, she pursued multicultural dance and art forms that enriched her personal body knowledge. She understood the need for persistence and consistency to achieve her dreams.

Her curiosity and drive to learn about native arts and culture grew fervent through her experiences with West African and Caribbean dance styles. Ethnic dance became her independent study in college and brought her to complete her art degree overseas in North Eastern Australia and the North Island of New Zealand. There, in her spare time, she pursued the art of flying & static trapeze and learned the art of Polynesian fire dancing. Finding her connection and freedom in fire, Jaime was inspired to give birth to the stage name Jada Fire.

These unique disciplines guided Jaime into discovering her true, passionate Goddess energy. She soon evolved into a versatile, artistic entrepreneur. After an independent study in Costa Rica training and teaching flying trapeze in Spanish, Jaime learned that less is really more and our internal fruits are our real, precious gold. There, in Costa Rica she studied with powerful mentors of the body and mind. After a treacherous fall from the static trapeze, she miraculously connected with a native Shaman living inland from the caribbean coast who healed her injury in a few days time. Jaime learned to heal and transform her own obstacles into opportunities through the use of intuitive power, divine manifestation and connecting with people on a higher spiritual frequency.

Jaime then became acclimated to Yoga as a primary discipline which launched her deeper into her versatile career. In 2001, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada & began to use the name Jada Fire as performance artist. Jada delved into the performance arena as an independent visual and performing artist & exotic fire dancer. While maintaining her practice as a dancer, gymnast, aerialist, yogini she realized one year into living in Las Vegas, that there needed to exist a home for the creative movement arts. Her energy was ripe to manifest one.
The auspicious opportunity to create Studio Open soon arrived. Jada and Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown, Earl Chaney began the renovation of the old warehouse/auto shop by first analyzing and dreaming the dream. Together their efforts brought upon the beginnings of a renewed ambiance and energy to what was a creative haven and sacred space for many movement disciplines to be studied and expressed. The creation of Studio Open had captivated Jada Fire's passionate energy. Her underlying mission in opening Studio Open was to share the prolific raw material she had collected both culturally, and spiritually throughout her travels. A natural means of giving back.* Studio Open had closed for business in 2007. Just a few years later, Barefoot Sanctuary has opened inside the Whole Foods Market @ Town Square, Las Vegas. This community endeavor is supported by many different yoga, fitness and acro teachers, workshops and fun, spiritual events.

Jada has resonated with a magical talent to bring about the uninhibited creative side of all of her students and friends. She continues to teach and perform as a full time freelance artist. She is also an ambassador for Lululemon Athletica, here in the Las Vegas store. Being an integral part of the yoga & arts community, Jada continues to heighten and recharge her spirit and connectedness with her friends. She believes one should claim their own sensuality & vitality while living fully within their bodies.

After creating her first guided exotic dance music CD with producer Mark Williams titled The Spoken World, she was then inspired to create a series of instructional DVD's and documentaries. Expressive Yoga Dance was first released in 2003. Her latest instructional DVD titled, Expressive Yoga for the Soul, co- created with local film company Soul Acrobats is a fresh and innovative approach to the yoga practice. This new DVD is now available for purchase here in the online store and also at www.barefootsanctuary.com.

As of 8~8~08, Jada chose to transition back into the use of her birth name Jaime, and graciously take her new last name Tam, after being blissfully united with her warrior spirit and loving husband Alvin Tam, founder of the independent film & seminar company, Soul Acrobats Inc. ***"Embracing Truth and evolving naturally into a state of integrity and clarity is most important for this divine life path," says Jaime Tam. "Especially when one asks their students and friends to be conscious in their breath and intentions, one should only be as conscious with their own truth and identity"~. Jaime asks of you to open your heart and embrace your own inner light and divine truth. Sometimes great endeavors come with great opposition. Often it is more natural to ride your breath, speak clearly for what you want....Honor your path by finding your way rather than fighting it~...Trust*, that We are all One Spirit~ Invoke connectedness!
